Post Graduate Diploma in Software Engineering and Business
Management (PGDSEBM) is a premium offering from Jadavpur
University's Department of Adult, Continuing Education and
Extension under Faculty of Engineering and Technology in collaboration
with Globsyn Technologies.
This one year programme blends intensive I.T. training with in-depth
management coverage to enable the students to have a wide scope
of engagement in the I.T. industry and beyond.
Programme Background
Software business in India is on a new high and the resulting
spurt in employment opportunities underline one very significant
fact. Off Shoring is here to stay because it is providing
the much needed lever to companies in developed countries
to significantly reduce their IT cost as well as increase
efficiency and quality. But Off Shoring has its set of
challenges. It requires significant management and technology
skills to operate out of India and also provide quality
solutions to clients.
In this backdrop Jadavpur University and Globsyn jointly
offer a premium programme namely "Postgraduate Diploma
in Software Engineering and Business Management (PGDSEBM)".

trends in global I.T. industry and also brings about a

Programme Features
The curriculum developed for this programme reflects its

skills in an IT syllabus eminently suitable to equip students
with all aspects of IT as applied in the industry.

Admissions
Eligibility
B.E./B.Tech/M.C.A/MBA with 65% throughout. Final year
students are also eligible to apply provided they furnish
proof of their having met the minimum eligibility criteria
by October 31, 2005.
Application Procedure
PGDSEBM Application kits are available either from Jadavpur University
Information Office or from TechnoCampus between 11.00 a.m. to
4.00 p.m. by paying Rs. 100/- by Cash/DD. To have the Application
Kit couriered to you, send a draft of Rs. 150/- to the TechnoCampus
address. Or, access the Form from www.globsyn.com's [Download Section] and send it
with a draft for Rs. 150/-. All DDs to be drawn in favour of "Jadavpur
University: A/c PGDSEBM" payable at Kolkata.
Applications are to be made in prescribed form only. Filled
up application forms along with testimonials should be
sent to Globsyn -TechnoCampus.
Admissions
The admissions will be strictly on merit based on performance
on written test/ personal interview. However appropriate number
of seats will be reserved as per University norms for SC/ST candidates
and those with disabilities.
The date and time of the written test/personal interview will
be communicated to eligible candidates directly.
