With over 14+ years in developing and designing skill development programs, and under Mr. Bikram Dasgupta's tutelage Globsyn was the first organization to develop a holistic skill development system based around its unique Knowledge Finishing School System™. With Skill Development being brought into the forefront of governmental focus, with the National Five Year Plan (2007 – 12) setting aggressive targets and the ensuing setting up of Skill Development Institutes, the target to make India the Skill Capital of the world has been pushed seriously by the Government.

Skill development, which has been Mr. Bikram Dasgupta's forte, found its initial expression in Globsyn, which commenced operations as a skill development organization before taking its expertise to the formal post graduate education sector. The setting up of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), which has been co-promoted by Ministry of Finance, Government of India to bring skill development to the masses, provided Mr. Dasgupta with the right window of opportunity to help take its skill development competencies to reach out to youth beyond its geographical limitations.

globsyn skills – the result of intensive efforts by Globsyn and NSDC to setup a holistic skill development base in Eastern India has an ambitious target of training over 3.52 Lakh youth over a period of 10 years. Globsyn Skills is positioned to train unskilled and semi-skilled youth while offering a number of upskilling programs to skilled youth.
