Infinity
When the IT revolution was hitting the Indian shore during late 90s there was serious dearth of proper 'Infrastructure' required for the industry to prosper in the country. The available infrastructure at that point of time was not sufficient to cater to the demand of a 21st century technology based knowledge economy and it was during this time Mr. Bikram Dasgupta conceived the idea of 'Infinity' – a truly intelligent building in the city of Calcutta.
Built in the year 1996 the 8 lakh sq. ft. ‘Infinity’ was the first ‘IT Park’ of the country which was one step ahead of the conventional Computer Integrated Building (CIB) of that time. The concept behind building ‘Infinity’ was to enable budding software professionals to think, dream, work, create, and develop 'excellence'. The whole building was developed keeping in mind the personal comfort level of the people working there to optimal lumen for energy conservation to communication systems with phenomenal connectivity.
Globsyn Crystals
Mr. Bikram Dasgupta who has a vision of integrating infrastructure and institution at the same place presented another first to the city of Kolkata (earlier Calcutta), with the launch of 'Globsyn Crystals' in the year 2007. The 600,000sqft 'Work Habitat' where technology has been merged with people's life will house all amenities that a person requires at workplace, starting from intelligent offices, digital theatres, retail outlets to health club and learning centres. The building billed as India’s first work habitat is Mr. Bikram Dasgupta's second project in the Infrastructure field which has again redefined the concept of a 'Workplace'.
