Whenever I get a chance to write or talk about my mother, I get an extra energy. My mother,as I have said many times, was an exceptional woman. She might have missed out on many small things to teach us, but we never missed out on the bigger ones. One of them was,to respect everyone you interact with, irrespective of their age,or relation, or whatever. When I was in school,I used to get phone calls at home coming from friends, mostly girls, but never ever she had asked me who called. She will simply pass on the telephone to me, and say, its your call. The onus lies on me to tell her,who called, and not the other way around. The same thing used to happen, for letters.Letters were big stuff, before email hit the scene,in our school days. There was a rule in our house, the letter/envelope has to be opened by the person,to whom it has been addressed to, even if you know, who has written it. Respecting people, dealing with people with warmth, and continously thinking how you can keep making a difference to your immediate environment all the time.Where some of the key learnings of those days. Some of these traits,I see it in my sons, and I feel, they must have inherited it from their Grand Ma.Today I presume all mother's are getting remembered. Its a good thing. It creates discipline and social value for our kids to see and follow. There must be continuity in life.Only then,it is fun.I hope all of you have a great Mother's day,and remember your Mom,and her contribution to you, your family, and to everyone in a special way, today.GOD Bless.
